Muhammad Iqbal Khan Nasar, the Managing Partner of the firm, has over a decade of full-time experience under his belt, during which he has provided expert advice and representation to a wide-ranging clientele, including regulators, ministries, multinational corporations, law enforcement agencies, and both public and private sector entities.

Mr. Nasar holds a Bar-at-Law from BPP University Law School and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Buckingham and a Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences from the University of Newcastle.

As an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Mr. Nasar has a proven track record of success in high-stakes litigation, having represented clients in some of the most significant legal matters in recent years, including constitutional challenges and complex commercial disputes. His practice areas span across Civil Litigation, Telecommunications, International Trade Law, Nuclear Law, Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property, and Mining Law, among others.

Prior to founding Nasar Law Associates, Mr. Nasar was a Partner at Ahmer Bilal Soofi & Co., a prestigious Legal 500 firm, where he headed the Litigation & Policy Division. In this role, he provided policy-level advice and legal opinions to a wide array of clients, and represented them before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Prior to this he was an Associate at Akram Sheikh Law Associates where he provided assistance to the Managing Partner and other Partners on various high-profile matters before the Supreme Court and the High Courts. Moreover, he has advised multiple Ministries on wide-ranging matters, including, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, the Ministry of Climate Change, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition to his litigation expertise, Mr. Nasar has substantial experience in transactional work and policy-level advice, including drafting and vetting critical agreements, such as Defence Cooperation Agreements, International Trade Facilitation Agreements, and various telecom and space law contracts. In this context, he has provided guidance on international agreements concluded under the auspices of international organizations such as the World Customs Organization (WCO), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as well as advising Pakistan’s strategic organizations on the implications of international conventions and treaties emanating from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Notably, Mr. Nasar rendered policy level advice to a high-level committee tasked with all the aspects related to participation in the review conference of the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM). Subsequently, he delivered a detailed presentation on Pakistan's nuclear and security laws at the conference held at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, which was attended by high-ranking delegations from 102 countries. The presentation was widely lauded and received commendation from various delegates.

Mr. Nasar’s commitment to legal excellence and ability to navigate challenging legal landscapes have earned him a reputation as a trusted advisor and formidable litigator.

Ms. Aroob Ansar is enrolled as an Advocate of the High Courts. She graduated with Honours from the University of London and completed her LLM from the University of Chicago.

Ms. Ansar has significant experience across a broad range of practice areas, including, constitutional law, telecommunications, intellectual property, tax, and commercial dispute resolution. She undertakes both trial and appellate advocacy whilst also representing domestic and international entities in complex and high-value arbitrations. Ms. Ansar’s experience also encompasses the rendering of strategic advice to clients spanning diverse industries, with a particular focus on trademark infringement, international law, trade policy, and corporate compliance.

Ms. Ansar also has a special interest and expertise in human rights and to this end she has represented pro bono clients in matters ranging from securing the fundamental rights of sanitation workers to providing legal assistance to wrongfully incarcerated individuals. She also regularly advises the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) and the Legal Aid Society (LAS) on a multitude of issues concerning the enforcement of human rights.

Nooreen Azimi graduated from the University of London and interned at various firms (including Ahmer Bilal Soofi & Co., a Legal 500 firm) prior to joining Nasar Law Associates as a Junior Associate. Her role in the firm includes assisting the Senior Associate across various legal areas such as civil, contractual and transactional matters, as well as assisting the Managing Partner on crucial cases before the Supreme Court, High Courts and District Courts. Additionally, she has worked on various construction matters, notably on the concept of decennial liability and its enforcement in Pakistan.

With Pakistan becoming a member of the Madrid System in 2021, Ms. Azimi has developed a keen interest in IP law and has gained in-depth knowledge of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) system, in turn providing pivotal assistance to numerous clients. Most notably, Ms. Azimi has advised a foreign nutraceuticals company on initiating their trademark registration, locally as well as under the WIPO regime.

Mahrukh Khalid graduated with a specialization in International Law and currently serves as a university lecturer, where she teaches and engages extensively with contemporary legal and academic discourse. Alongside her academic career, she is affiliated with Nasar Law Associates as a Trainee Associate, contributing to the firm's research and advisory functions across a range of legal matters.

Her role primarily involves assisting the firm's senior members with legal research and case preparation and analysis.

Naqeebullah Khan is associated with Nasar Law Associates as an Intern, where he assists the firm with case management, file upkeep, court filings, and coordination on matters before the District Courts and other local forums. He works closely with the firm's senior members, shadowing advocates and associates to gain practical exposure to litigation, court procedures, legal drafting, and client handling.

In addition, he provides support with preliminary legal research and administrative coordination, contributing to the effective management of the firm's ongoing matters.
